“The Absinthe Drinker” is a masterpiece by Edgar Degas. It was completed in 1876 and has since been part of the collection Musée d'Orsay in Paris. It features a man and a woman in a café. There are sitting near each other and there seems to be a tight distant emotion between them. The man looks away as though his mind is wandering, while the woman looks down at her drinks absent-mindedly. They seem to be in a fight. It is considered as one of Degas’ most emotionally-tight work of art.
