Imaginary View of the Grand Galarie in the Louvre in Ruins by Hubert Robert was painted over 200 years ago in 1796. It depicts the Lourve museum as damaged and the roof crumbled in. The museum was only 3 years old at the time and the French Revolution ended 7 years before. Ironically the painting now hangs in the Louvre, Paris over 200 years later.
