Springtime by Claude Monet - Famous Art - Handmade Oil Painting on Canvas
Claude Monet moved to Argenteuil in late 1971. In the spring of 1972, he made several paintings showcasing his garden and his wife, Camille, who often appeared as a model in his works. One painting that stands out during this time is "Springtime." This painting depicts Camille dressed in white, seated serenely on a bed of grass, reading a book under a canopy of lilacs. The spring sunshine riddles through the canopy, adding a natural light effect on the canvas. The painting is presently displayed at the Walters Art Museum.
